Piece of Green Landscaping began as a part time business with a small number of clients. The business became a full-time endeavor in 1997 with
a strong presence in the Bristol County Rhode Island Area. The first order of business was to structure the company in a way that would make it stand out from the competition. The decision was made to keep the company small enough in order to maximize efficiency and provide our clients with the highest
level of customer satisfaction.
My interest in Landscaping began at the age of 16, when I began part-time work for local landscaping companies. I decided to pursue my interests in this
field after graduating from Bristol High School. I enrolled in the College of Forest Resources at the University of Maine. Here I majored in Natural Resources with a concentration in Recreation Management. Upon graduating in 1993 I acquired a seasonal position with the Department of Environmental Management. At the end of the season I was hired as a landscaper at the Portsmouth Abbey School in Portsmouth, RI. I spent two years there and decided it was time for a more
challenging position. In 1995 I was hired as a Groundskeeper at Brown University in Providence, RI. There I was in charge of maintaining and developing all aspects of campus grounds and athletic fields. After 1 1/2 years at the University I decided to take my educational and professional experiences to a new level and venture out on my own.
